This page explains our approach to privacy on our website and how it affects you.
These are just the key points. If you need details, keep reading.
We measure visitors to our website using Google Analytics. This records what pages you view within our site, how you arrived at our site and some basic information about your computer, such as which browser you are using and the size of your screen. All of that information is anonymous - we so don't know who you are; just that somebody visited our site.
Any data collected by Google Analytics that is associated with cookies, user identifiers or advertising identifiers is retained for a period of 14 months.
You can learn more about Google Analytics or opt out if you wish.
We include certain social media widgets on our website, like YouTube videos and Facebook feeds. To do so we embed code that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function, their widgets generally know if you're logged in; for example Facebook uses this to say "x of your friends like this".
We do not have any access to that information, nor can we control how those networks use it.
If and when you order a voucher or book a stay via our website we will record specific personal information about you, such as your name and email address.
We also log account and transaction history or accounting purposes, and to monitor our business activities.
Our gift voucher shop is provided by Ecwid, an e-commerce company based in San Diego, California and Ulyanovsk, Russia. Ecwid runs their services out of the USA, so your personal information may be transferred there if you interact with this shop. You can see Ecwid's privacy policy on their website.
If you provide us with your email address we may send you emails, either in reply to specific enquiries (such as one made using a contact form) or if you have opted in to our email newsletters. You have the ability to opt out of any of this communication at any time.
We will never provide your personal information or email address to any third parties except where they are specifically employed to help deliver our own services.
Our email marketing lists are also managed by our webmaster, Web Smart Media. Therefore, some personal information may be shared with them for marketing purposes.
A cookie is simply a technology for remembering something about you, in the form of small pieces of data that we store in your web browser. Every time you visit our website our cookies are sent to us, letting us recognise you as the same person that had visited previously.
This helps us provide features that require remembering who you are, and provides us with data we can look at to improve our site. By continuing to browse the site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies.
If you wish to block cookies you can do this in your browser settings; you can learn more about cookies and how to block them here.
You have legal control over your personal data, and so you may at any time:
If you need to do so then please get in touch with us using the details below.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or your personal data, please write to us by email to bookings@thegreenpark.co.uk or by post to The Green Park Hotel, Pitlochry, PH16 5JY.
By road - The main artery through highland Perthshire is the Perth to Inverness A9 trunk road. Travelling to Pitlochry from the south, come off the A9 at the Pitlochry exit and drive into the town. The road you will be on is Atholl Road - Pitlochry's main thoroughfare - and we are situated at it's far, western end. Continue right through the town to the town limits, where you will find the Green Park Hotel well signposted, directing you to a fork on your left hand side. Take this left turn onto Clunie Bridge Road, and the entrance to the hotel is on the left after about a hundred yards.
By rail - Pitlochry railway station is on the main east coast Edinburgh / London to Inverness line and there is a regular service.
By bus - Due to its central location on the main A9, Pitlochry is well served by most of the major bus companies. For both north bound and south bound buses, the main dropping off points are in the centre of Pitlochry.
