Creative Writing Break

Darren Harper’s Creative Writing Break at The Green Park

Writing : the search for meaning

Memory often changes with time. Moments we once overlooked can later reveal unexpected significance, while familiar experiences may appear very different when viewed from a distance. This reflective writing break explores how memory and time shape the stories we tell about our lives. Drawing inspiration from literary works including Kazuo Ishiguro’s The Remains of the Day, along with shorter texts, participants will reflect through discussion and guided writing exercises. The course offers a thoughtful and relaxed environment in which to develop your writing while exploring how time deepens our understanding of experience.

There is no supplementary charge for single accommodation on any of our activity breaks, and as normal, we can arrange free transport ( on your day of arrival and on your day of departure ) between the hotel and the bus and railway stations.

Details about all of our activity breaks are readily available - either download a copy from this section, ask for them during you stay, or just telephone the hotel and ask us to forward a programme for whatever activity you are interested in.
