From Friday the 7th of February until the morning of Monday the 10th of February 2025
The Nature Break leaders are Dr Liz Auty and Karen van Eeden whose knowledge and passion for wildlife stems from working on reserves and experiencing the wonders of nature first hand. Liz and Karen met on a nature exchange trip to Latvia in 2012 and have been going on wildlife spotting adventures together since then. Liz whose specialism is botany, is Property Manager at nearby Schiehallion while Karen brings more than ten years experience of birding.
During the nature break we will introduce some of the wildlife found in highland Perthshire and see what we can discover together over the two days. There will be two indoor and two outdoor (weather permitting) sessions of two hours each. The indoor sessions could include talks on ‘Local Wildlife’, ‘Winter tracks and signs’, ‘Birds of Highland Perthshire’. If the weather is inclement, all sessions could be in the warmth and comfort of the hotel or we could pay a visit to bird watching hides.
There is no supplementary charge for single accommodation on any of our activity breaks, and as normal, we can arrange free transport (on arrival and departure) between the hotel and the bus and railway stations.
Details about all of our activity breaks are readily available - either download a copy from this section, ask for them during you stay, or just telephone the hotel and ask us to forward a programme for whatever activity you are interested in.
