Formerly Head of Music at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith, Ian has established himself as an enthusiastic and entertaining music appreciation expert with a “light touch”. He describes himself as “forever lost in a sea of 19th century Romanticism!”. With a particular passion for Verdi and Wagner he is much sought after as a lecturer, and comes highly recommended by George Cooke, the Principal of Higham Hall Educational Trust. Aside from Verdi and Wagner Ian also lectures on Bruckner symphonies, Richard Strauss Tone Poems, Mahler Symphonies, Puccini et al.
