Green Park Hotel and the Green Tourism Business Scheme

The Green Park Hotel continues to go Green.

We are one of a growing number of businesses taking part in what was originally a VisitScotland's initiative - the Green Tourism Business Scheme ( GTBS ).

Any credit for our better green credentials should be laid squarely at the feet of our very own "Green Godess" Terry Edwards. For any of the improvements that we make in this field to be sustained, we have to have a driving force pushing us all on - and Terry is that person.

With her good work we were initially graded as being worthy of a BRONZE RANKING, and with our latest inspection by the awarding body, we have been promoted to a SILVER RANKING.

Terry would be only too delighted to receive any advice or suggestions you may have to offer. Please just drop her an e-mail marked for her attention, or give her a call - you will know when you have got through to Terry, as she is the only one of us at the Green Park who has an American accent!

Some guest suggestions that we have recently taken on board include -

 - recycling glass products from guest bedrooms ( as well as all of the glass already recycled such as wine bottles served at dinner ).

 - recycling guest newspapers from bedrooms.

Terry is now our representative on the Perthshire Green Resorts Group, and she hopes to grow the links between all of the like minded hotels in the town.
